Need Help Using This Site?

Welcome to the Triangle J Area Agency on Aging website. We hope you enjoy your visit and find the information useful. To help you navigate easily within the site, we have compiled some tips to guide you.

Navigate the Site

The Homepage is the main page. There, Sections are identified where you can go to find information on specific topics.

Each Section has a welcome page. It is the homepage for the section. This page may contain all the information for the section, or it may provide links to pages within the section.

At the bottom of every page, there will be two to three buttons.

  • The Home button will direct you back to the homepage.
    Home
  • The Section button will direct you back to the section welcome page.

  • The Top button will take you to the top of the page.

Most pages contain information about multiple items of interest. At the end of the discussion about an item, you will see a button.

Top

This button will take you to the top of the page. When you roll your mouse over this button, it will say "Top". Occasionally, it will say "Section Top". If this happens, it will take you to the top of the last item of interest you were reading where you were given the option to click on multiple links to more information.

Within many of the pages, there will be links. Some will be to other websites. Some will be to pages within this site. In the top left corner of your computer screen, you will see two arrows. They will look similar to the ones in the example below:

Example of Navigation Arrows

The Back Arrow Button will allow you to tell your computer that you want to go to the last webpage you were viewing. The Front Arrow Button will allow you to tell your computer that you want to go forward again. The buttons will turn green when you can use them to navigate in this way. If they are another color (unless you have customized your colors), you are at the page where you started and you cannot use them to navigate.

Example of Navigation Arrows

If you ever get confused or "lost" when clicking on a link that goes to a page within our site, just use the navigation bar (see below) at the top of the page or on the left. It's on every page to help you find your way.

If you get confused or "lost" when clicking on a link that goes to another website, just type www.tjaaa.org in the address bar (the long white space at the top of your computer) and click "Go" or hit "Enter" on your keyboard.

You can also "Bookmark" the site. This means that you have a direct link to the site every time go get on the Internet. It will be at the top of your computer screen. In the address bar, click on the small TJAAA logo before the address (www.tjaaa.org). Drag this logo down to the gray (or other custom color) bar right underneath the address bar. You should see a "+" sign come up and the logo with "Triangle J Area Agency on Aging" should now be listed there. Any time you click on this new link, you will automatically go to the website.

To the left on every page is a navigation bar in blue and green. This bar gives you links to the main sections of the site so you can easily navigate and allows you to select to offer us your feedback. Any feedback that you are willing to provide us will be used to make the site more efficient and useful to older adults and family caregivers. We welcome any feedback that you care to provide. It helps us to help you.

At the top of each page is another navigation bar. From there, you are offered a link to the homepage (the first page of the site) and a link to information on how to call or e-mail us or to visit our office. There is also a link to the Topic Index. This index provides an alphabetical listing of what is available on the site with a direct link to the information. Use the index to scroll through all the information available, or click on a letter of the alphabet to take you to all the listings that begin with that letter. Remember, there will be a link to this Topic Index on every page for your convenience. This Index will also offer links to topics of interest to older adults and family caregivers on our sister site, the Full Circle of Care Caregiver Website.
