Security Updates - How and Why
|
Many
computer experts recommend that casual Internet users download
Mozilla Firefox as their browser.
If
you are currently using Firefox, remember to periodically
check back to see if updates are available. Typically, updates
remedy problems encountered and make your Internet experience
more user friendly. You can program Mozilla to check automatically
for you and/or to automatically download updates.

Many
computers come equipped with Internet Explorer or IE as the
default browser. Unfortunately, hackers enjoy trying to circumvent
built-in security features.
To
best protect your computer, regularly check to see if security
updates are available or program your computer to automatically
check for you. Instructions on how to download are on
these links.
Periodically,
Explorer is updated to make your Internet experience more
enjoyable. Be sure to check upon occasion and update to the
latest version. |
If you experience trouble viewing this site in Microsoft Internet
Explorer, try updating to the latest version or switching to Mozilla
Firefox. If you feel uncomfortable doing either of those suggestions,
try asking a friend or family member to assist you. Your grandchildren
are taught computer skills in school. Ask them. There is help available.
