Legislative
Summary by the Institute of Government
The
University of North Carolina's Institute of Government offers
a Legislative Reporting Service. This service provides daily
information on the activities of the North Carolina General Assembly
to subscribers.
Faculty
members from the Institute of Government analyze every bill that
is introduced in the General Assembly; write summaries of each bill,
amendment, and committee substitute; listen to the debates in the
House and Senate chambers; record the actions taken by the House
and Senate with respect to each bill; and publish the Daily Bulletin
at the end of each legislative day.
