Congregate Meal Sites Locations and Contact Information
The NC Division of Aging and Adult Services defines a Congregate Meal site as follows:
"The provision of a meal in a group setting that provides 1/3 of the Recommended Daily Dietary Allowance. Education on nutritional topics is provided and access to community services is available."

"Nutrition site or congregate site " is an old fashioned term for a gathering of individuals for a good, nutritious mid-day meal with lots of fellowship and sharing. Older adults have a number of locations of just such places within the county. There, older adults can meet people, access other available services, learn about nutrition and programs for seniors, and enjoy activities designed to appeal to participants. Meals are offered on a voluntary contribution basis.
Please note that serving times may change from time to time. It is best to call the site to confirm.
