Senior Health Insurance Information Program
North Carolina understands that health insurance and related issues can be very confusing and intimidating. The NC Department of Insurance (1-800-443-9354) operates the Seniors Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP) (919-807-6900) to help older adults and family caregivers understand choices and options. They provide trained volunteers who can provide information and help walk you through applications for benefits.
